Jenny Vivian Schlievert

Jenny Vivian Schlievert, age 94 formerly of Dorr St passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Jenny was born November 4, 1923, in Holland, Ohio to the late Frank and Rose Wasiela Noworyta.
Jenny was a stay at home mom but when the girls were grown was employed by Topps Shoe Department and retired as the manager in 1972. She was a past parishioner of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish and Little Flower Parish. During WWII she was a "Rosie the Riveter" at Jeep Corporation.
She and Ray volunteered in the Medical Records department at UTMC for many years. She loved to dance and truly enjoyed life. Her greatest love however, was Ray and her family.
After leaving Toledo, she resided in Avon Lake, Ohio near Pat and Gary for several years. In October 2016 Jenny moved and lived with Marcia and Mike in North Carolina. She truly enjoyed the mild winters and early springs. During her time there she was able to travel to the beach and Florida.
In addition to her parents, Jenny was also preceded in death by Raymond, her loving husband of 63 years; infant son, Larry and grandson, Christopher Hawkinson. Jenny was the youngest of seven children and the Matriarch of the Noworyta family. Five brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Pat (Gary) Hawkinson and Marcia (Mike) Pozniak; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Prayers will begin on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 9:30 am the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church at 10:00 am. Entombment will be in Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Serenity House, 110 Centre Church Road, Mooresville, NC 28117 in Jenny's memory.
The family would like to express their thanks to those at The Serenity House of Huntersville for the gracious care of their mother.
