Jeffrey A. Marx

Jeffrey Alan Marx, age 71, of Maumee, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Norman and Marilyn (Stender) Marx.
Jeff graduated from Macomber High School, class of 1969. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Berlin, Germany. A dedicated and hard worker, Jeff was employed by Champion Spark Plug. Jeff also owned and operated A&E Rental in Northwood, Ohio, with his brother, Gary Marx. Later, Jeff worked at Maumee Bay Turf Center and ProMedica.
He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. He appreciated the great outdoors, and in particular loved golfing, fishing, visiting the Metroparks and maintaining his yard. It was a good day when Jeff spied a deer on his property.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Maureen (McShane) Marx, whom he married on May 27, 1971; sons, Jeff (Jane) Marx, Jason (Buffy) Marx, Ryan (Brittney) Marx and Steven (Melanie) Marx; grandchildren, Nathan, Adam, Lainey, Ryleigh, Mason, Braxton and Marlee; brothers Dean Marx and Greg Marx; sisters-in-law, Debbie Marx, Colleen (Marty) Jones, Kathleen Poland, Eileen (Ricky) Frost and Doreen (Art) Stanton; brother-in-law, James (Vicki) McShane; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Marx; brother-in-law, Raymond Poland; and sister-in-law, Jeanine Marx.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, February 6, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of his funeral service at 12:00 pm, with his nephew, Jeremy Marx officiating. Following the funeral service, Jeff will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park, where military honors will be recited. Donations in Jeff's name may be made to the Metroparks Toledo Foundation.
