Jeffrey M. "Big Daddy" Ball, Sr., age 51, of Northwood and formerly of Monroe, MI, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 10, 2016. He was born on May 30 , 1964 to Dudley and Marilee (Fanning) Ball in Monroe, Michigan. Jeff was a graduate of Ida High School, Class of 1982 where he played varsity basketball, football and baseball for all four years of high school. He was a CDL driver throughout most of his life. Most recently he worked for Waste Management for 23 years. He was always an early riser and a hard worker. He was honored to be one of the drivers to be selected to go to the Pentagon to assist with the 9/11 disaster clean-up. In 2011, Jeff was selected as Waste Management's Northwest Ohio Driver of the Year. His family and friends will always remember him for his kindness, welcoming smile and great sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 16 years, Pam (Lause) Ball; children, Darrin, Darrick (Rachael) and Jeffrey "J.J." Ball, Jr.; grandchildren, Xavier and Skyleigh; mother, Marilee Ball; siblings, Dave (Cathy) Ball, Lori (Larry) Luna and Kevin Ball; father and mother in law, Dick (Marlene) Lause, which Dick was Jeff's favorite euchre partner; sister in law, Cindy Lause (Dan Pavlis); brother in law, Dan Lause (Jessie Smith); special neighbor, Chuck Hyndman; nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends. Preceding him in death was his father, Dudley P. Ball.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. with his brother, Pastor Kevin S. Ball officiating.
