Jeffrey Burns

Jeffrey "Jeff" Burns, age 55, of Toledo, formerly of Canfield, OH, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 7, 2019 at home. He was born on July 9, 1964 to William and Lynne (Davies) Burns in Flint, MI. Jeff graduated from The Ohio State University with his Bachelor's Degree in Production Operations Management. He worked at Owens Illinois for 27 years and had a passion for technology. Jeff loved bringing the families together at the cottage on the AuSable River in Michigan each year. He enjoyed watching the kids tubing, kayaking, and enjoying campfires while making memories with family. Jeff also enjoyed fly fishing, was an avid reader and was an excellent cook. His smile, wry sense of humor and laugh will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Burns. Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Carol Burns; children, Joellen and Jeffrey Burns; parents, William and Lynne Burns; siblings, David (Carol) and Greg (Kelli) Burns; nieces and nephews, William, Brenda, Taylor, Madison, Andrew and Angela; sisters-in-law, Elqui (Lonnie) Crafton and Roxana (Curt) Scoville and their families; and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, November 11, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer – West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
