Jeffery Smith "Smitty", age 59, passed away on March 26, 2015. He was born on August 7, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio.
Smitty was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary; son, Todd Jeffery and brother-in-laws, Scott "Big" and Stan "The Man". Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé, Shanna Staton; father, Norman "Crappie Joe"; sister, Linda (Mike) Morrissey; sister-in-law, Sharone (Kevin "ZZ"); daughters, Jamee (Chris "Oz" Newsome) Staton and Jennifer (Mike "Mayberry") Warren; mother-in-law, Joycee "Minnie" Knestrick; many other loving family members and dear friends; and his beloved dog, Doc "Boy".
Smitty will be remembered for his sense of humor and the nicknames he gave to everyone. He enjoyed crappie and bass fishing with his dad, who called him "Crappie Wannabe Joe." Smitty loved playing pool, horseshoes, darts, golf and was a softball player in his younger days. He was a lover, not a fighter, but a competitor! Smitty was very much loved by all and will forever be in our hearts.
Per his wishes, private family services will be held.
