For many years she was self-employed owning her own professional home cleaning business with regular clients that were sad to see her go she retired. Jeanette was a great cook, known for her specialty in desserts. She was also an awesome seamstress. Why buy clothes when Jeanette could make them?! From school uniforms, dresses, apparel for dolls, one wedding gown, beautiful pillows and covers, elaborate hand-made quilts, capes for the little super-heroes running around the house or just a simple hem in a pair of pants she did it all with quality.

She was a fun and compassionate Grandmother, whom they all called "Granny", a great friend, and most of all she was a faithful Christian. Beginning in a Holiness church she later became a member at New Light Baptist then after she and her husband Isaiah Lee learned of the seventh-day Sabbath they joined the Church of God Seventh-day church in Perrysburg, OH. She served there for over 20 years in a small close-knit family church.
