Jeanette D. Newman, born January 4, 1948, passed away at Flower Hospital on Thursday, December 15, 2011. She came to Toledo from New Jersey in 1976 to work in purchasing at Owens Illinois. Jeanette later retired as a property manager with Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Gladys. Jeanette leaves behind her brother, Trevor (Andrea) Newman; nephew, David (Debbie) and their son, Ryan and nephew, Keith (Noelle) Newman. She also leaves special friend, Sandy and many wonderful, supportive and caring friends who will miss her keen observations on life.
Jeanette's life journey was often difficult but she handled every day with grace and determination. She will be remembered for her dry wit and generous heart.
Many thanks to the wonderful healthcare providers at Flower Hospital and Lake Park and the friends she made along the way.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. A Celebration of her Life will take place at a later date at one of her favorite locations.
