Jean Ann Scherer

Jean Ann Scherer, age 68, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving mother and sister by her side on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. She was born to Torence and Priscilla (Murphy) Field in Millersburg, Ohio. Jean Ann proudly served in the U.S. Army and had previously worked at Mercy St. Charles Hospital in the dietary department. She loved taking care of the neighborhood squirrels and had a giving heart, she often donated to many local and Catholic organizations and charities. Jean Ann collected old movie stars signatures.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted mother, Priscilla Field; sister, Kathleen Hopkins; brother in law, Gary Hopkins; niece, Krystal Mansour; nephew, Gary-Alan Hopkins; great-nephew, Aidan - Allister Gonszy; and her beloved dog, Sasha aka Boo. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Torence Scherer.

In Jean's memory, memorial contributions may be made to any Catholic charity or animal charity of the donor's choice.

There will be a Mass for Jean held at a later date in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611.
