Jean L. Klein, age 78, was carried by angels to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 6:18 p.m.. Her loving family saw her peaceful entry in Heaven. Jean was born August 19, 1936 in Kansas City, MO. She married Jerry Klein on April 14, 1956 in Shawnee, Kansas at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Jean will be remembered for the unselfish, caring love she had for her family and friends. Jean was a wonderful cook and spent many hours sewing, crocheting crafts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly loved serving her family and others.
Jean and her husband were avid golfers and were members of Stone Oak Country Club for many years. They loved to travel and made many trips to Hawaii, as well as Europe, the Caribbean and the Far East.
Jean loved her God and loved to worship with the Lord and was always grateful for answered prayers and the peace and joy of Jesus that filled her daily.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry; daughter, Denise (Kevin) Beck; son, Michael (Karen) Klein; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; twin sister, Joan (Larry) Ornduff, of Houston, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Bardiau.
Always a giving person, Jean's wish was to donate her body to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
She was a longtime member of Harvest Lane Christian Fellowship. The family will receive guests at church, 5132 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH 43623 on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the church or the Diabetes Association.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Drs. Brunner, Guntsch, Whalen, Paolini, Gale and all the staff and caregivers at Toledo Hospital, along with many others, for all of their support, care, professionalism and loving interest for Jean and her family throughout this difficult time.
