Jean C. Kamer

Jean C. Kamer, age 74, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1948 to Glenn and Catherine (Boerger) Bowman in Toledo, OH. Jean graduated from Burnham High School in Sylvania and then received her bachelor's degree in education from Mary Manse College. Jean worked for the Lucas County Auditor's Office for over 20 years before retiring. She was very giving and always helping others. Jean was the life of the party, and could light up any room with her infectious smile. Her sense of humor, quick wit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Bowman. Left to cherish Jean's memory is her loving daughter, Denise Kamer; grandson, Daniel Kamer; siblings, Ann (Bill) Hunnicut, and Jim (Paula) Bowman; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
