Jean Phyllis (Carsten) Rahman, age 96, of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully December 17, 2021 at her home. She was born February 16, 1925 in Toledo to John and Emma Carsten. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She loved spending time with her family. Jean was the oldest Holy Helper at her home parish and a passionate prayer warrior.
Jean loved to square dance and ballroom dance with the love of her life, Robert. She cherished being surrounded by her family.
In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Rahman, Sr.; son, Robert E. Rahman, Jr.; daughter, Sharon A. McPherson and grandson, Kenneth Rahman, Jr. and many In-Laws and dear friends who she was very close with. Left to cherish Jean's memory are her children, Donald (Elaine), Kenneth, Thomas (Doris), Patricia Armstrong and Jeffery (Holly); 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; compassionate caregiver, Rose and many dear friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo. Friends and family may visit one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Jean's memory.
