Jason Edward Jacobs

Jason Edward Jacobs, age 45, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 29, 2022 at home. He was born on August 31, 1977 to Edward and Irene (Carrothers) Jacobs in Toledo. Jason was a 1995 graduate from Start High School and then went on to obtain his Associates Degree from the University of Toledo in nursing. From a young age he had a passion for music; starting at age 4, Jason began playing the piano and started taking lessons at the Ursula Cauffiel School of Music. He played the saxophone, piano and a church organ for many years. Jason was also the keyboard player in various bands and a traveling band. He worked in piano sales, property and hotel management throughout his career. Jason's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Edward and Irene Jacobs; brother, Ryan Jacobs; sister, Heather Jacobs; nephew, Logan Iwinski; great-aunt, Cindy Carrothers; aunts, Rose (Danny) Shue, and Trish Abdo; and their families; all of the Carrothers and Krontz families; best friend, Evan Washington; and many other dear friends. He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
