Jason Allen Campbell, age 29, formerly of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in Columbus, where he was attending the Columbus School of Broadcasting. Jason was born June 7th, 1980 in Toledo and was a 1999 graduate of Northview High School. He was excited about his future and the opportunities that lied ahead of him. Jason felt this career choice would continue to allow him to promote local Hip-Hop artists. He had many occupations and adventures in his short life and his travels took him to all parts of the United States. Jason's creativity and writing skills were always impeccable; unfortunately he will never get to write his "best selling" autobiography. He was also an avid sports fan, especially enjoying March Madness. Jason had an unbelievable memory for players, teams and statistics.
Left to miss his smile, sense of humor and his generous and kind nature are his mother, Joan M. Campbell; father, John C. (Carol) Campbell; brother, Justin Campbell; sisters, Jennifer (Shawn) Calhoun and Catherine Weaver; grandmothers, Clara Campbell, Mary LeStrange and Jeanette Manthey; grandfather, William LeStrange; aunts and uncles, Charles (Mary) Campbell, Ronald (Regie) Campbell, Susan Stupsker, John (Lisa) LeStrange, Scott (Pam) LeStrange, Robert LeStrange and Tom (Lisa) LeStrange and numerous cousins and dear friends. Jason was preceded in death by his grandfather, John G. Campbell and cousins, Jeffrey Campbell and Michael LeStrange.
The family will receive guests Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. William Rose. Entombment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
Because of Jason's love of children and the kindness and respect he showed to others, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions be made to, "SmileTrain", 41 Madison Ave. 28th Floor New York, NY 10010, an organization that corrects cleft pallets for impoverished children or to your favorite Children's Charity.
