Janita Cox

July 26, 1928 — March 19, 2017

Janita (Potter) Cox, 88, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2017. She was born July 26, 1928 in Packard, Kentucky. She married Clifford Cox and they had six children before relocating to Toledo, Ohio.

Janita is survived by five of her six children, Judy Drouillard, Gail (Mike) Martinez, Wade (Karen) Cox, Janet (Vince) Josefowicz and Helen (Joe) Bahlhorn; ten of her thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; and brother, Emery Potter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Cox; son, Jack Cox and three of her grandchildren.

Her favorite things to do in life were gardening, reading, cooking southern Sunday dinners, and spending time with her family.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

Janita will be greatly missed by her loved ones.
