Janice S. Rogers

Janice S. Rogers, age 68, of Toledo, passed away Friday May 6, 2022 at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital. She was born on December 10, 1953 to Nona McCoy in Lake City, Tennessee. Janice was a seamstress throughout her life and owned and operated M.C Leather. She was a self-taught herbalist among many other things and loved helping others. Janice was an avid reader, gardener, loved cooking, and traveling. She always looked forward to spending time with friends and family, especially all of her grandchildren. Janice will be remembered for her great sense of humor, heart of gold, and caring nature; she would want you to remember her with a smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nona and Frank McCoy and Louis Hatfield; husband, Michael "Critter" Rogers; and brother, Ronnie McCoy. Left to cherish Janice's memory are her loving daughters, Melissa (Matthew) Langlois and Nona (Brian) Ellis; grandchildren, Miles, Taylor, Kiowa, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Camden, Cooper, Miles, Madelynn, and Logan; siblings, Joyce Roberts, Johnny (Sue) McCoy, Eddie McCoy, Shauna McCoy, and Donna (Brad) McCoy; lifelong best friend, Keith Christ; fur baby, Bella; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
