Janice R. (Mason) Grove
June 18th 1944 - October 18th 2011
Janice graduated from Libbey High School in 1962. She married her best friend, Kenneth Grove, Sr. on September 15th, 1962. From that union they were blessed with Tina M. (Mike) Cannon of Tacoma, Washington, Kathie A. Hilt of Toledo and Kenneth G. (Angela) Grove, Jr. of Perrysburg. She has eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Sylvester E. and Emma J. (Finnearty) Mason; sisters, Martha J. Brewer and Margie L. Christian. She is survived by her brother, William E. (Carol) Mason and sisters, Ethel M. Wagner and Linda M. (Berry) (Fred) Garcia, all of Toledo. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Janice was very crafty; she loved to sew, scrapbook, and make her own greeting cards. She enjoyed doing genealogy and playing cards and games, and last but not least, being a Christian. She also spent a lot of time on the computer, answering e-mails or posting to her Facebook friends.
She worked at many different jobs through her years and anyone that hired her was lucky to have her as an employee.
Janice was a fighter and such a positive person; she was an inspiration to all who came in contact with her and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff in ICU at Toledo Hospital for taking such good care the past six weeks.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Howard Thompson officiating.
"I would rather live my life believing there is a God and die to find out there isn't. Than to live my life believing there isn't a God and die to find out there is."
