Janice M. Whatmore

Surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 Janice Marie (Cochran) Whatmore, one of God's angels was called home. On December 2nd, 1945 she was born to Luther T. and Retha R. (Putman) Cochran. Janice will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed collecting angels but most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Janice is survived by her husband of 45 years, John W. Whatmore; children, Jay (Cheryl) Whatmore and Jodie Whatmore; siblings, Joyce Durfy and Richard (Connie) Cochran; two grandchildren, Jason Whatmore and Christina Thomas and great-granddaughter, Aubrey Thomas. Preceding her in death are her parents and sister, Judy G. Cochran.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
