December 16, 1945 — May 13, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Janice Marie Findlay, 75 years young, of Temperance, Michigan, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, May 13th, 2021. She was a devoted & loving wife, an awesome mom and a true friend to all whose lives she touched during her many life endeavors, travels and adventures.
Janice met her soulmate, Ed some 60 years ago by a chance meeting under the summer sun on a small sidewalk in Holland, Ohio and it took little time for the very smitten Edward and Janice to begin spending all their time together, completely inseparable, totally in love and marrying 1 year later. The rest is a more wild amazing historical story than we have room for here, however their love and devotion remained steadfast the entirety of their 60 beautiful years together.
She enjoyed camping, traveling, boating and time with her family. In most recent years, her interest and love of drag racing returned alongside Ed in their purchase of yet another Mopar! The endeavor back to speed and being an integral part of the racing crew with her husband and son on the new Trilby Flash II, has brought her immeasurable joy her last 4 years spending time with many old racing friends and some new ones too, brought such a spark to this wonderful woman's spirit!
Jan was a faithful and devoted team member of the Hunger Hydraulics family for approximately 3 decades.
She was an involved member of Marketplace Community Church and enjoyed the congregational events with church friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Edward, Sr.; her beloved fur baby, Odie; her children, Edward (Tammy) Jr. and Robin (Bryan); her precious grandchildren, Steven (Samantha), Derek, Brandon and Jenna, as well as a bevy of extended family. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Alexandra and twin grandsons, Jordan & Justin.
A celebration of Jan's life will be held Saturday, May 22, 2021 at K & R Ranch, 4531 County Road 5 Delta, OH 43515 beginning at 12p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with deep appreciation, donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Stroke Association in Jan's memory.
