Janet M. Wahl, age 66, passed away peacefully after a courageous four year battle with breast cancer on November 12, 2014. She was born on August 30, 1948 to the late Marjory and Lester Binkley.
Janet worked for 17 years at Owens Corning and retired from Sofo Foods after 12 years of service. Janet made many lifelong friends throughout her career. Her family was most important to her and she was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Robinson and niece, Jennifer Binkley. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 45 years, Robert; sons, Chad and Brian (Breanna); brother, James (Maria) Binkley; granddaughters, Haven and Avery; niece, Pam Gasink; nephews, Chris Binkley, Chris Robinson and Craig Robinson, and many many dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at CedarCreek Church, 6950 Whitehouse Square Blvd. in Whitehouse.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the UTMC Dana Cancer Center, especially Dr. Iman Mohamed and her caring staff. Also to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their compassion and support.
