Janet M. Reed

Janet M. Reed, age 77, of Erie, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Thursday, November 27, 2014. She was born on November 23, 1937 to Raymond and Helen (Finley) Kruse in Erie, MI. On February 2, 1957 she married the love of her life, Jack D. Reed, Sr. Most recently she retired from Magnum Electric and prior to that she worked at the Dagwood Diner in Erie. Janet's greatest love was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. When she wasn't taking care of her family she enjoyed her frequent trips to Las Vegas with her husband of 57 years, Jack Reed, Sr. Her family will cherish the memories of her home cooking.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Jack Reed, Sr.; 2 sons, Robert (April) Reed and Thomas (Lila) Reed; 2 daughters, Loretta (Mark) Haupricht and Bonnie (Jeff) Sampson; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma, Shirley, Carol and Judy "Peaches"; brothers, Jim and Tom; several nieces and nephews; dear friend, Carol Bomia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Reed and son, Jack D. Reed, Jr.; brothers, Mickey and Kenny.
