Janet Elaine Henry, age 80, resident of Temperance, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on January 14, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Willie and Jesse (Reed) Gentry.
Janet worked as a bus driver for Bedford schools for over 20 years. A devout Christian, she was very loyal and forgiving; giving people second chances. She always helped those in need, donating to charities like St. Jude's and Paralyzed Vets of America. Janet's life revolved around her loving family; she enjoyed her phone calls checking in on them. In her earlier years, she enjoyed dancing. Janet also enjoyed shopping, and engaging in conversations about politics; she always liked a good debate.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl (Lynn Bishop) Ryan; granddaughter, Kalyn (Tony) Rozanski; great grandchildren (GG), Aiden Henry and Nathan James; sisters, Virginia (Dale) Walters and Gladys (Gene) Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her love of her life and husband, Jack Henry, whom she married on July 19, 1959; son, Robert (Beth) Henry; sister, Barbara (Ron) Kazmierski; and brother, Bill (Linda) Gentry.
