Jan Smith

Jan M. Smith, age 71, passed away Monday, August 16th, 2010. She was born August 4th, 1939 in Toledo.

Jan spent most of her life as a hairdresser and at one time she owned her own salon. She was a Life Master of the American Bridge League and a past-volunteer at David's House. While Jan volunteered at David's House she received special recognition as Volunteer of the Year. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Jan was a very generous and giving person who was always willing to help others.

Preceding her in death are her parents and daughter, Kelly in 2006. Jan is survived by her daughters, Kim (Jim) Licata, Kerry (Jodie) Grider; son, Chris (Wendy) Smith; sister, Robin Gates; brothers, Jeff (Theresa) Badman, Tim (Sue) Badman and Neal (Tami) Davis; five grandchildren, Shannon, Jeremy, Bob, Chelsea and Ian and three great-grandchildren.
At Jan's request there will be no formal funeral services.
