Jan Marie Simmons

Jan Marie Simmons, age 61, resident of Toledo Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 5, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Leonard and Dolores (Padot) Duvall.
Jan graduated from Mason High School in Erie, Michigan. In her younger days, she enjoyed and was very talented at cheerleading, gymnastics, and using the baton. Jan liked watching NASCAR and playing card games, such as, Euchre and Rummy. A football fan, you could always catch her watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Michigan, Go Blue!
Jan was known as the life of the party and always made those around her laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she will truly be missed by those that knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Phil Simmons, whom she married on April 6, 2007; son, Edward Long; daughter, Sandi (Gordon) Egbert; siblings, David (Patty) Duvall, Cindy (Sue) Duvall, and Pat (Kathy) Duvall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Long.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 12:00 pm until the time of Jan's memorial service at 4:00 pm, with Deacon Thomas Soper officiating.
