James W. "Jimmie" Wolfenbarger, age 67, of Monroe, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Medilodge, Monroe. He was born on March 20, 1941 to Ray and Dorothy (Rutherford) Wolfenbarger in Fonde, Kentucky. Jimmie was employed with Ford Motor Company, Woodhaven Plant, for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. He was an avid fisherman, loved music and loved watching Animal Planet. Jimmie also enjoyed watching all sports, especially basketball and boxing. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Diora Rutherford, father, Ray Wolfenbarger, sisters, Barbara Sheaves and Mary Sue Bordner, brother, Billy Wolfenbarger and uncle, T.J. Rutherford. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Joan Wolfenbarger; son, Curtis Wolfenbarger; grandson, Curtis Allen Wolfenbarger; mother, Dorothy Wolfenbarger; sisters, Angie "Pinky" (Jim) Carlisle, Joyce Ann Beatty and Kathy Huff; brother-in-law, Sonny Bordner; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
