James W. "Bill" Tanner, age 80, passed away on November 5, 2014. He was born on June 22, 1934 to the late Lillian and James Tanner in Toledo, Ohio.
Bill worked at Ohio Michigan Heating and Air Conditioning for 20 years. He then worked with his brothers for 15 years at the family business, Tanner Heating and Air. Bill was currently employed at Congregation Etz Chayim. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Bill also loved spending time with his family, friends and cat, Sable.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michael, Lisa Tanner-Edwards and Steven; siblings, David (Carole), Richard (June), Larry (Mary Beth) and Linda (Ron) Moore and grandchildren, Ashley, Alexa, Zoe and Mason.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to: Congregation Etz Chayim, 3853 Woodley Rd., Toledo, OH 43606 or donor's choice.
