James William Beauregard, age 64, of Toledo, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on October 1, 1942 to James T. and Gladys (Pohlman) Beauregard in Toledo. James graduated from Libbey High School in 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a military policeman. In 1967, James joined the Toledo Fire Department and worked at stations 16 & 18 as well as the alarm office. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant and retired in 1992. James enjoyed playing golf in his retirement and volunteered for 16 years at the Jamie Farr L.P.G.A Golf Tournament. He and Marilyn also traveled across the U.S. during retirement.
James is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Marilyn (Whitmill) Beauregard; sons: William (Maureen) and Robert Beauregard; sister: Dianne (John) McLennan; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation and services will be private for James. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home, 419-473-0300, assisted the family with arrangements.
