James "Jim" E. Theriac
Jim Theriac, age 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim was born on October 27, 1951, to John and Margaret (Poley) Theriac.
Jim is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Linda (Jelinek), his son Brian (Rachel), love of his life granddaughter Eve, mother Margaret, sisters Sharon Schomburg (Joseph), Kathy Glesmer (Larry), Theresa Kelly, Debbie Bunting (Ray), and Diane McCray (Nathan), brother-in-law Richard Jelinek (Terri), sister-in-law Pat Theriac, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John and brother Clarence.
Jim was an avid sports participant, playing basketball and baseball at both Pickett School and Macomber High School. Upon graduating, Jim worked for various companies, including Chrysler, Libby Owens Ford ("LOF"), Haughton Elevator, and Guardian Glass. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching his son Brian's baseball teams: Fall-Meyer, McKinley, and Loma Linda. Jim also enjoyed participating in various bowling leagues throughout the city.
Visitation will occur from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with the service being held at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Newcomer Northwest Toledo Chapel, located at 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio.
