James E. "Jim" St. Julian, age 73 of Toledo passed away surrounded by his loving family at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011. He was born January 28th, 1938 to Edward and Violet (Jahns) St. Julian in Toledo. Jim was a 1956 graduate of Central Catholic High School and he owned J & R Painting in Toledo for many years. He was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church where he had been active as an usher, council member and in charge of the Big 6 for over 40 years. Jim also served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Veterans, Frankowski VFW Post #5530 and Pruca. Jim's family will remember him as a humble man who put his family and friends first.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jean St. Julian, Jim (Heather) St. Julian, Joe (Jennifer) St. Julian and Joan (Don) Kinney; grandchildren, Morgan, Victoria, Madison, Jacob, Trace, Katelyn and D.J and sister, Sandy (Gary) Johnston. Preceding him in death was his loving wife of 26 years, Rosie (Fleitz) St. Julian; son, John St. Julian and brother, Terry St. Julian.
The family will receive guests Tuesday 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd.,(419-473-0300). The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Final Prayers will begin in the funeral home Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Presiding will be Rev. Monsignor Michael R. Billian.
