James E. Shonebarger

James E. "Jim" Shonebarger, age 70, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 with his loving wife by his side. He was born on July 26, 1950 to Paul and Joyce (Lake) Shonebarger in Toledo, OH. Jim graduated in 1968 from Central Catholic High School. He retired after a long career at the Unisys Corporation. Jim was a great fan of classic rock, pinball and grilling out. He was very patriotic and was known for his 4th of July parties and putting on the best firework show in town. Jim loved boating and spending quality time at Put-in-Bay listening to his favorite bands and sipping on Labatts. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Jim is survived by his wife of 28 years, Debbie Shonebarger; daughter, Janna Shonebarger; grandsons, Andrew and Nathan Schock; siblings, Julie (Robert) Lewandowski, Paula (Ray) Butler, Mary (Ken) Mallett, Mark Shonebarger and Tom Shonebarger; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, who he loved very much.

Memorial Mass will be held Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2240 Castlewood Dr., Toledo with visiting from 10 - 11:00 a.m. in church. Inurnment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
