James A. Riter

James A. Riter, age 61 of Lambertville, Michigan passed away Thursday, April 22, 2004 surrounded by his family in his home. He was born August 11, 1942 to Coyle D. and Marian (Root) Riter in Bryan, Ohio. James was employed in the trucking industry for 31 years, retiring from Roadway Express in 1999. He was a 32nd Degree Mason with Fort Industry #144 and a Trustee with the F.O.E. #197. James took pride in his yard and enjoyed working outside. He loved listening to country music and fishing.

James was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Arlene M. (Welch) Riter, children, Pamala (Richard) Keith of Perrysburg; Kelly (Al) Zielinski of Toledo; Sandy (Micheal) Futrell of Sylvania and James A. (Joyce) Riter, II of Perrysburg; 7 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and sister, Janet (James) Renner of Toledo. James will also be missed by his beloved pet "Snoopy" and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests Saturday from 4-8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
