James R. Ogle, age 77, of Toledo, passed away peacefully in his wife's arms on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born on January 28, 1938 to Ross and Edna (Humble) Ogle in Toledo. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the Local 14 in Toledo, Moose Lodge and F.O. E. in Bradenton. Jim worked at General Motors for many years as an electrician in Plant 2 where he earned himself the nickname, "Dad". He enjoyed a good round of golf, fishing, jogging in his younger years and his frequent visits to Florida with his wife. He was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 25 years, Elaine Ogle; children, Diannia (Chris) Gonzalez, Bryan Ogle and Dawna Ogle; step-children, Tony (Brandi), Paul, Jr. (Melody), Jesse (Tracy), Rodney (Carla), Jude (Jamie) and Melinda (Philip); many precious grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Ogle and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Ogle and step-daughter, Carmella Rodriquez.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
