James R. Marsh

Mr. James R. Marsh, 78, of Toledo, OH died Friday, December 18, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. James was born to James A. and Hazel M. (Tanalski) Marsh.
He was a 1955 graduate of Libbey High School. Jim was a devout Christian and spent many hours studying the Bible. His career was primarily devoted to designing and building custom homes. In retirement, he became an avid watercolor painter. Jim loved walking with his friends, the Swan Creek Daybreakers, at the local Metropark.
He is survived by his four children, sons, Reed A. and Eric J. (Shelley), both of Toledo, OH, son, Scott D. of Orange, CA, and daughter, Lisa D. of Toledo, OH; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Martin R. and sister, Marjorie Kuhman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Barbara L. (Peters), and his parents.
The family will receive guests Sunday, December 27, from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., (419-381-1900). Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
