James R. Jakubiak

James R. "Jimmy" Jakubiak, age 57, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011. He was born on June 10, 1953 to Nancy (Steen) and Ronald Jakubiak. He worked at NW Ohio Psychiatric Hospital for over 20 years and was looking forward to retirement. Prior to that, he worked at Toledo Jeep. Jimmy had a certain zest for life and made many friends along the way, who he cherished. He was always able to make people laugh with his quick wit and clever antics.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Jessica Wernicke, Matthew Jakubiak and grandchildren, Emily and Kate Wernicke. Also left to grieve are his sisters; Cathy (Jack) Brown, Teresa (Michael) Curtis, Mary (Butch) Jakubiak, Angela (Bill) Orth-Baldwin and Deana (Jack) Ringle. He also had many nieces and nephews who were very loving and supportive during his final months. Also Harpo and Charlie who were "the best friends anyone could ask for."

The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral services will begin Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
