James "Jimmy" Ochoa

James Ochoa age 73 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on December 27, 2024. He was born in Toledo on March 10, 1951, to Alejandro and Maria (Avad) Ochoa.

Jimmy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was employed at Jeep for many years. Prior to Jeep, Jimmy was employed at Toledo Edison. During retirement, Jimmy drove Limousine’s and was a taxicab driver. He enjoyed shooting pool, music, airshows, cars and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his kids, Derek, Dustin (Kelsey), Ashley and Drew (Kristin) Ochoa; grandchildren; Destiny Heminger, Henry Ochoa and Violet Ochoa; great-grandchildren, E’ Mareon and Ezekiah Mathis. Also surviving are his brothers, Henry, David, Mingo, Gilbert, Daniel and sisters, Jane, Janet and Susie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary and brothers, Roy, Bobby and Junior Alex Ochoa .

Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 3:00-6:00 PM. A service celebrating Jimmy’s life will immediately follow visitation at 6:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
