James P. Murray, age 83, of Sylvania, passed away July 10, 2018 at Regency Hospital of Toledo. Jim was born January 7, 1935 in Toledo to James and Jessie (Daily) Murray. He was employed with National Flight for many years before his retirement in 1999. Jim was a licensed SCUBA diver, a novice pilot and an artist, participating in many art shows. He also enjoyed bowling, skiing and playing tennis.
He is survived by his wife, Carol L. Murray, children, Keith P. (Jami) Murray and Ann B. Murray; five grandchildren, Molly Murray, Kyle Murray, Jaci Riley, Candice (Shawn) Huerman and Kate Murray and six great grandchildren.
Private family services have been held. Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Toledo or a veteran's organization in Jim's memory.
