James "Jim" Michael Wallace, age 74, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away April 11, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born November 26, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Oscar and Sophia (Swaciak) Wallace. Jim served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1958-1962. He was employed with Chrysler, retiring March 31, 2008.
Jim was best known for his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed being outside and working in his yard and garden. Jim spent many hours "down at the pond," feeding the fish and fishing with his grandchildren. If you wouldn't find him in his yard, he was either in his garage or in one of his barns "dinkin around."
Forest Meadow Llamas in Whitehouse, Ohio was a proud accomplishment that Jim shared with his wife Chris throughout the 1990's and early 2000's. They were very passionate about their award winning llamas that they bred, raised and showed throughout the llama circuit.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Tammy (Tim) Sullivan, Connie (Al) Haley and Stacy (Bob Kirk) Camacho; grandchildren, Lindsay, Timothy and Ryan Sullivan, Daniel (JoBelle) Wallace, Steven Campbell, Kaylene Wallace, Sierra Tack, Brooklyn and Jonaven Camacho; great-grandchildren, Althea, Tyrish, Ayumi, Gabriel and LillyAnne; step-grandchildren, Chad Haley and Krista Haley; step-great-grandson, Brayden Haley; sisters, Judith (Richard) Gladieux and Michaelene Barret; godson and nephew, Bryan (Deb) Gladieux and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; brother, Michael Wallace and sister, Deborah Wallace.
There will be no visitation and services will be private.
The family would like to express their thanks for all the love and support from friends, family and neighbors. Special thank you to David Causer, a good friend of Dad's, who was there for him whenever he needed anything. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the many healthcare professionals of The Toledo Hospital SICU whose support, guidance and exceptional care were above and beyond our expectations of their profession.
