James D. "Jim" Malaska, age 78, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Toledo Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on April 1, 1940 to Philip and Mary (Korecki) Malaska. Jim was a graduate of Woodward High School. He then proudly served his country in the US Army. Jim retired from Adam Wholesalers after over 30 years of service and to keep him busy in retirement he worked at Lowe's on Alexis Rd. for 14 years where he was known as Jimmy Jam. He was loved by his co-workers and devoted customers!
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 36 years, Peggy (Isaacs) Malaska; daughter, Lisa (Christopher) Buck; granddaughter, Nadya Al-Abdulkader; great-grandchildren, Adriana and Nolan and sister, Rosemary Czyznik. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Thomas Malaska.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Memorial Service will begin in the funeral home on Saturday 7:00 p.m.
