James "Jim" Mahnen, of Sylvania, Ohio was born June 23, 1927, he passed away at the age of 86 on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Jim was a World War II Navy Veteran. He worked on the Great Lakes for U.S. Steel, retired from there and went to work for Lucas County, retiring at age 82 with 24 years of service.
The family would like to thank the Staff and Nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg who took such wonderful care of Jim. Special thanks to Edith and Kathy.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lois; step-sons, Michael (Sue) of Toledo and Mark (Vickie) of Florida and best friend, Rick of Toledo.
At this time there will be no services.
