James M. Finucan, age 67, of Toledo, passed away suddenly, Monday, May 12, 2008 at Toledo Hospital. He was born October 20, 1940 to Raymond and Nellie (Lusher) Finucan in Toledo. Jim was a Customer Service Engineer through IBM for 25 years. After retiring he worked with The Andersons General Store in the electrical department, for 7 years and also drove school bus for Christ the King School for 2 years. Jim was a very proud father, grandfather and great grandfather, as well as, a devoted and loving husband. He loved to spend time with family and friends sharing his wealth of knowledge to anyone who had a question. He enjoyed listening to music of all kinds, reading and working on the computer. Jim was also a longtime member of Christ the King Parish.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Finucan Hichborn; brother, Raymond "Buzz" Finucan and sister, Jeanne Armstrong. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda J. (Roudebush) Finucan; sons, James (Sandy) Finucan, Jr. and David (Amy Fortuna) Finucan; daughter, Deborah (James) Deutschman; grandchildren, James III (Sunny); Jessica; Justin; Tabitha; Aleena and Kyle; great grandchildren, Tayler; Ethen and Aveona and many dear friends.Jim will also be missed by his many "four legged friends".
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419- 473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4100 Harvest Lane. Officiating will be Fr. Mike Brown.
