February 22, 1941 — March 20, 2021

James "Jim" Lintner passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at his Temperance, Michigan home with his wife at his side. He was born on February 22, 1941, in Toledo, to Margaret (Vass) Lintner and Andrew Lintner. Jim went to St. Vincent DePaul grade school and Central Catholic High School.

In his youth, he played baseball for the 4thward old timers and also liked street hockey. Jim was drafted by the US Army, where he spent two years in Germany. He also coached Little League Baseball with Tom Kraniewski. As he got older, he played dartball for Eddie's Bar and won a trophy for dartball from the Knights of Columbus in 1980, and won a 4thward Dartball League Trophy in 1991-1992. He also played baseball for LaPark Bar and Grill. Jim was employed at AP Parts for 33 years. After retirement, he went to work for Bedford Hills Golf Club for 11 years. He loved Sunday Morning golf with his brother in law, Vernon Krajewski, Bob Hudinski and Ray Lewandowski. After Vernon passed away, and Jim got sick, that ended his golf.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Nowak) Lintner; sister, Carol Lintner and her son, Dean (Lori Howe); sister, Elaine (Lou) Black and their daughters, Julie Russell (Ed); her sons, Erik (Emily) Russell and Nick (Alyssa) Russell; great grandnephew, Beau, Missy (Bob Huffman) and sons, Zach (Carrie); great nieces, Lexi, Lily, Elena; sons, Christopher, Trevor and Dylan Hoffman; sister-in-law, Dolores Krajewski and her daughters, Dr. Amy and Dr. Shawn Kerger; great nephew, Kellan and Christen; daughter, Joy (Chad) Roberts and their daughters, Charlotte and Jill and her fiancé'; sister-in-law, Pat Nowak (Steve Roberts) and her son, Marty (Heather), and her daughter, Alex Nowak and daughter , Laura (Doug) Glover, and their son and daughter, Liam and Rae Glover; and niece, Paige Lisk.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret (Voss) Lintner and Andrew Lintner; mother and father-in-law, Virginia and Casimer Nowak, Sr.; brother-in-laws, Casimer Nowak, Jr., Eugene Nowak, and Vern Krajewski.

I would like to thank my neighbors Jill and Rick Wainright, Marge and Chuck Mohney, Tia and Dave and special friends Karen Leach, Virginia Kraniewski, Tami Ormiston, Melissa Scheich, and Joyce Teopas, who helped Marilyn through these difficult times. His favorite nurse was Amy Blaida, who took wonderful care of Jim and she loved Notre Dame as much as he did.
