James Fred Lewis

James Fred Lewis, 55, of Toledo, passed away October 29, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. James was born April 10, 1966 in Elyria to Fred and Sandra (Cahill) Lewis.

He was a graduate of Rogers High School. Jim was the owner and operator of Lewis Tree and Landscape for over 30 years. In his free time he enjoyed, fishing, camping, woodworking, and hunting. Most of all he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 24 years, Deborah Lewis; children, Tana Lindsey, William (Melissa) Wilkins, Aubrie Browning; 7 grandchildren; parents, Sandra & Fred Lewis; sisters, Jane Aguilar and Vicki (Clint) Graham; many nieces and nephews; and fur-babies, Abbey and Bentley.

Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Iva & Arthur Lewis and Geraldine & James Cahill; mother and father-in-law, Patsy and Dale Carter; brother, Fred James Lewis; nephew, Nicholas Budd; and grandson, Keelan Browning.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Sylvania Chapel (419-392-9500), where a Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice in Jim's memory.
