James Michael Johnson, age 70, of Swanton, Ohio, was called to Heaven on Wednesday morning, April 1st, 2020 surrounded by his beloved family in the comfort of his home. Born November 29th, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of James R. Johnson and Dorothy E. (Little) Johnson.
James was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. James served two tours while deployed for the US Army. James was known as an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt wildlife. James was known as a family man but most importantly the best Papa a grandchild could ask for. James spent a lot of his time at Lake La Su An Wildlife Area in Pioneer, Ohio and was partial to the beautiful state of West Virginia.
James is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Loretta Ann Johnson; along with 6 children; Heidi (Ronnie) Grubbs of Bradner, Ohio, Shane (Jennifer) Johnson of Houston, Texas, DeMaris (Rick) Anderson of Toledo, Ohio, Monique Peace of Toledo, Ohio, Shasta (Jason) Lind of Swanton, Ohio, and Johnny (Jessica) Peace of Swanton, Ohio. As well as 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
