James J. Rowe

James J. "Jim" Rowe, age 74, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Lake Park. He was born on July 14, 1937 to Ruby and Pauline Rowe in Erie, Michigan. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country proudly. He was employed at GM Powertrain for 33.4 years retiring in 1993. Jim was an avid golfer, loved to fish, garden and feed the squirrels. He often enjoyed playing his numbers and helping others whenever he could. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Norman Rowe and sister, Virginia Rowe. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rita Rowe; children, Greg Rowe, Kathy (John) Baertschi, Renee Rowe and Kevin (Jill Lewis) Rowe; grandson, Dylan; brother, Marvin (Dee) Rowe; sisters, Genevieve (Arnie) Knaggs, Rosemary Billmaier, Delores "Dolly" Gerth and Betty (Bob) Blair; family friend, Noel Kedzierski; and many other relatives and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
