James J. Liptack, age 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away August 1, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. He was born August 7, 1930 in Toledo to John Liptack and Myrtle (Julis) Burgie. Jim was employed by Toledo Impression, and later became owner of Industrial Machine and Die and Electro Cut. He enjoyed boating, golfing, and a very talented woodworker. Jim was very well known for his machining ability. He loved his squirrels and birds in his yard.
Jim is survived by his children, Debra Lynn (Jack) Thomas, Barbara Ann (Bill) McNamee, John J. (Joyce) Liptack; grandchildren, Tracy (Mike), Matthew (Jennifer), Kelly (Mario), A.J. (Beth), April, Jenny (Anthony), Justin and Joel (Corrie); great grandchildren, Bryanna, Brittany, Alexa, Sean, Jaelyn, Avrie, Gracyn, Hannah, Mario, Aryanna, Courtney, Emersen and Parker; great great grandchildren, Chole and Bentley; longtime companion, Carol Hewey and niece, Susie. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Liptack; sister, Jean Woodworth; son-in-law, John Chandler and step-father, Howard Burgie.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 6:00 pm. at the funeral home.
