James D. Henneman Sr., 68, of South Toledo, passed away late Thursday evening on December 10, 2020 at St. Lukes Hospital. James was born July 7, 1952 in Toledo to Harold and Margaret (Pinkerman) Henneman.
He attended Libbey High School. Jim was a teamster and truck driver for 25 years. In his free time Jim enjoyed fishing, even making an annual fishing trip to Rice Lake in Canada for many years and never missed an Ohio State Buckeye game. Every Sunday he could be found playing cards with his family and friends.
Jim was an all around handy man who would help anyone on the drop of a dime. He was always good with children and loved spending time with family. Jim will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and neighbors who he grew close bonds with over the years.
He is survived by his son, James Henneman, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Amy Henneman; granddaughters, Claire and Kara; special great-niece, Susie Henneman; brothers, John (Judy), Jerry, Tom, Emil "Bones" (Connie); sister, Donna Cutcher; neighbor, Bob McConoughey; family friend, Larry Lynch; and many nieces, nephews, and life long friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his loving wife Brenda (Lawson) Henneman; and siblings, Robert Henneman, Billy Joe Henneman, Ronald Henneman, Mary Carr, and Larry Henneman.
The family will receive guests Sunday, December 27, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
