James Gunselman

James A. "Jim" Gunselman, age 84, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 in his home. He was born to Edward and Lena (Toben) Gunselman in Nashville, Tennessee. Jim was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a lineman employed with Toledo Edison before becoming Business Manager for Local #245 for a total of 37 years. Jim was a 60 year member of IBEW. He was also active over the years with Big Brothers, American Legion Daley Post and Local 245 Retirees club. Jim was a very giving person who loved to help people in any way that he could. He continues to give to others by donating his body to science. Jim will be remembered for his sparkling sense of humor and the ability to make you smile. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his family, Jim was preceded in death by his grandson, Chadd Cressler and brother, Edward Gunselman. He is survived by his loving wife, Wadad "Woodie" (Baz) Gunselman; daughters, Pat (Tim) Cressler; Chris (Rob) Wood and Sandy Chambers; grandchildren, Torri (Chris Daggett) Wood; Keith Wood; Jeremy (Brandy) Chambers and Janelle (Matt) Bockbrader; great grandchildren, Jeremy L. Chambers; Kiersten Chambers; Colton & Mitchell Powaski and Cassandra Daggett and sister, Catherine Brake.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-7:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Deacon Wilbur Moore.
