James "Jim" Frueh, age 62, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, May 28, 2009. He was born March 7, 1947 to Arthur and Virginia (Staples) Frueh in Lima, Ohio. Jim worked in the family ran Bakery for many years in Lima. In Toledo he was employed with Centre Supermarket and for the last 10 years, Cub Foods, where he retired from in 1999 due to health reasons. He always made the BEST beef jerky! Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Frueh. Jim is survived by his loving significant other of 31 years, Barb Gorsuch; daughters, Jamie Burton, Kari Frueh and Stacie Gorsuch; sons, Marcus Frueh and J.R. (Ann) Gorsuch; step-mother, Jean Frueh; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Pat Hahn and Carolyn (Alphonse) Averesch; his canine companions, Josie and Micky; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Ann and Stacie Gorsuch for all of their loving care and support given to Jim and his family through this difficult time!
