James F. Guinan, PhD
James F. Guinan, PhD, age 65 of Maumee passed away Tuesday, December 14th, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital. He was born December 23, 1938 to L.D. and Loretta (Sullivan) Guinan in Detroit, Michigan. James was a psychologist in private practice for 40 years. He was also the owner of Professional Systems Inc. in Maumee. James was an active member of the American Association of Psychotherapists and the Toledo Academy of Professional Psychologists. He was also a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Marcia S. (Swiergosz) Guinan; daughter, Mary (Steve) Condon and son, Steve (Deb) Guinan; grandchildren, Christopher Condon; Cassidy Condon; Eliot Guinan; Claire Guinan and Case Condon; brother, Donald Guinan and sisters, Mimi Sutliff and Cathy Guinan Wagenschutz.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi at the University of Toledo Parish, 2955 Dorr St. A Memorial Mass will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee 104 W. Broadway St.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the James F. Guinan Grandchildren's College Fund or to Corpus Christi University Parish.
