James Edward Dudderar, age 62, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006 in St. Vincent Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born May 20, 1944 to H. Lamar and Lillian (Fark) Dudderar in Toledo. Jim was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps and held memberships with the Marine Corp League and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was employed with the former Hatfield Olds for more than 20 years. Jim was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Jim truly cherished the time he spent playing with his granddaughter, Elizabeth.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Bowen. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Mary Ann (Wernimont) Dudderar; children, Jennifer (Jason) Fitzgerald of Livonia, NY; Chad Dudderar and Lori Dudderar; granddaughter, Elizabeth Fitzgerald; brother, Richard (Judie) Dudderar and sisters, Dodie (Gary) Duhaime and Mary Ellen Szczepanski (Jerry Speelman)and many dear family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Scripture will begin Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena, 4555 North Haven. Officiating will be Fr. Gary Walters and Fr. William Parker. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
