James E. Twigg

James E. "Bruce" Twigg, age 88 of Toledo passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was born to Alfred and Lydia Twigg in Missouri on April 14, 1922. James married his loving wife, Grace B. (Miles) Twigg on July 2, 1942 and they spent 68 wonderful years together. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and James worked for Owens Illinois for many years, later retiring in 1980. James enjoyed dining at Bob Evans, especially when Heather, Kathy, Bethany and Cindy waited on him. He enjoyed talking to his favorite girls and James' family is very grateful for the kindness and hospitality that was provided to him.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Grace; daughter, Jan and canine companion, Muffy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
